How it works
Everything that happens between pressing the button and ending a call, in the order it happens. Nothing here needs a download or an account.
Press start and your browser asks for camera and microphone permission, once. Chatki never turns the camera on before you press the button. On a phone the prompt comes from Safari or Chrome; on a computer it appears next to the address bar. If you deny it, you can still use text chat.
Chatki looks for a woman who is online and free at that moment and connects the two of you in a private 1-on-1 call. Her name, country flag and language show on the screen as the call connects. There is no public room, no queue to watch and no audience.
Talk as long as the conversation is good. The buttons on the screen are the same for both people: end the call, block, report, and favourite. Chatki does not record the video on its side; see the privacy policy for what is stored for an account.
One tap ends the call and finds the next person. If you favourited someone, she appears in your list with her online status and you can start a call with her directly instead of waiting for the roulette.
New visitors get free video matches. Longer video calls are paid by the minute with coins; the price per minute is shown before anything is charged and coins are bought in the wallet. Text chat with a match is free.
You can start as a guest. An account keeps favourites, coins and chat history across devices and lets you sign in on a second phone or computer. Signing up takes an email address or a Google account.
Chatki runs in any modern browser: Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android, and Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a computer. On a phone you can add it to the home screen to open it like an app. Nothing is installed from an app store.
Open Chatki and the next cam chat starts the moment you press the button.
